Property Damaged by Disaster
Property owners who experienced at least 15% damage are entitled to file for a “Temporary Exemption for Qualified Property Damaged by Disaster. This pertains to physical damage to property that consists of tangible personal property used for the production of income, an improvement to real property or manufactured home that is used as a dwelling.
The property must be located in an area declared by the governor to be a disaster area following a disaster. Governor Abbott declared San Saba County a disaster area on July 5, 2025. Taxpayers have 105 days to file for the exemption with the deadline being October 20, 2025.

YOUR LOCAL PROPERTY TAX DATABASE WILL BE UPDATED REGULARLY DURING AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER AS LOCAL ELECTED OFFICIALS PROPOSE AND ADOPT THE PROPERTY TAX RATES THAT WILL DETERMINE HOW MUCH YOU PAY IN PROPERTY TAXES.

The Central Appraisal District of San Saba is a political subdivision of the State of Texas responsible for the fair market appraisal of properties for the purpose of property tax assessment on behalf of the seven local taxing authorities in San Saba County.
Tax rates and ultimately the amount of taxes levied on property are determined by governing bodies of each of the taxing authorities. Mineral, utility and industrial accounts are appraised for the district by Pritchard & Abbott, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas. Real estate and personal property accounts are appraised locally by the district.
The Central Appraisal District of San Saba County also collects the taxes for each of the following taxing authorities:
